There are times when Devon simply takes your breath away and others where it is simply stunning and in our opinion Autumn is the season that surprises most. Beautiful sunrises. Incredible sunsets (the picture above was taken on an October night on Meadfoot Beach) and if the gods are shining on us, the temperate evenings are a delight too. And then of course come inside and there's our award winning , two rosette Brasserie to look forward to as well as one of the friendliest welcomes you'll find anywhere.

about meadfoot
Located in a leafy conservation area just two minutes from blue flag Meadfoot beach and 15 minutes from Torquay marina, the Meadfoot Bay is a gracious Victorian villa built in 1850 and now home to a stylish, comfy, award winning boutique hotel. With a staff to guest ratio of almost 1 to 1 the emphasis is very much on providing the attention to detail and level of service you'd expect in a five star hotel, but with a personal touch. We believe it's the little things that make the difference and deliver them wherever we can. more>>
TORQUAY
With cafes, bars and restaurants clustered around the marina, Torquay does have a very Mediterranean feel to it and of course the ever present palm trees help! Jewel of the English Riviera is offer a great base to discover the delights of South Devon and beyond. Within a 30 minute drive you can explore a different beach every day or head up onto the sweeping wilderness of Dartmoor. National Trust and English Heritage properties are all around and travel further afield and the Eden Project and Lands End are all doable in a day. more >>
what guests say about the Bay
"This is a superbly run hotel. The attention to detail is second to none and the whole team cannot do enough to make you feel welcome, looked after and relaxed. The whole hotel is styled exceptionally well, especially the bar and lounge rooms. Book yourself into the Brasserie - the breakfast and dinner deal is a must - because the food is incredible. We got through most of the menu in our stay and every course was incredible. Also, make sure you try the hotel’s own Gin - you won’t leave without a bottle to take home, I guarantee. "
