Positions we are currently recruiting for are:-

Hotel/Brasserie - front of house
 

We're looking for a bright, personable individual who loves working with people.  You'll be working mainly in our award winning Brasserie and bar and need to have previous experience of working in fine dining environment or similar. You'll also be expected to help out with front of house in the hotel during busy periods such as check in/check out. It goes without saying that you'll need to be flexible, adaptable and above all a team player.


- Full time position

- Up to £10.00 an hour + tips + staff discount
- Mixture of morning shifts (8am start) and evening shifts (11pm finish).

   Based mainly in the Brasserie but will involve some light hotel duties
- Must be over the age of 18 for licensing purposes
- Must have experience of working in a high end, awarding winning
   restaurant
- Possess exceptional guest service skills with the ability to develop 
   lasting relationships
- Experience of working the bar a huge advantage

- Good command of English
- Good team player, hard working and flexible
- Knowledge of local food and drink would be an advantage

sous chef/aspiring CDP (position filled) 

Sous chef –

In the past six months, Brasserie at the Bay has won two awards and we don't plan on stopping there. Led by Head Chef Callum Tasker who has six years experience in Michelin star environments and also has lectured at the renowned chefs training school - The Asburton Chefs Academy. Although only opened 18 months ago, the Brasserie is already firmly established on the fine dining map of Torbay and South Devon offering largely modern British cuisine. The role offers immense potential for an ambitious chef looking to make the next step in their career. The team is small and supported by a great front of house team who are all united in one single aim - to deliver a great dining experience in a friendly, convivial environment. 

 

You'll be expected to deliver on the following areas:-
- Maintaining the standard and style of cooking set by the Head Chef
- Assisting the Head Chef in paperwork, ordering and maintain our 5* food
hygiene rating
- Working with the head chef to develop new menu ideas, daily specials
and costing’s
- Must have experience in a similar establishment, AA rosette standard a
huge advantage
- A genuine passion, knowledge and interest for food and cooking with
fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Someone looking to take the next step in their career

Hotel housekeeping assistant
 

We're looking for a bright, personable individual who loves working with people and has a great eye for the smaller details. We pride ourselves on our high levels of cleanliness and our small team work very hard to achieve that.


- Good hourly rate + tips
- 20 – 30 hours per week - will include weekends
- Must have at least 3 years experience in a similar role - preferably from a boutique B&B/hotel
- Must be able to work well as a team and think off their own two feet
- Must have extremely high standards when it come to cleaning

kitchen porters 
 

We're looking for one full time or two part time kitchen porters to join our team. It will mainly be evening shifts with a 6pm start and will include some lunchtime shifts on Saturday's and Sunday's. We are looking for people who are hard workers and who are keen to get the job done to a high standard. 


-Hourly rate + tips
-15 - 20 hours per week - will include weekends
- Some experience would be a huge advantage, but full training will be given
- Must be able to work well as a team and think off their own two feet
- Must have extremely high standards and willing to work
