What better time to escape to the Bay than for a cosy Christmas? As you've probably gathered by now great food is very much at the heart of Meadfoot. From our legendary breakfasts to our award winning brasserie it's a festive feast! And then to walk it off a bracing walk by the bay before heading back to the bar and our gin collection including our very own Shag Rock. If you're looking for dance bands or DJs to accompany your festivities then we're afraid you're best to look elsewhere. But if you like the idea of a home from home where we do all the work then come home to the Bay this Christmas.

Say goodbye to tussling a turkey into the oven at some ungodly hour of the morning. Wake up instead to a sparkling Christmas Day at the Bay. Kick back, relax and enjoy the day with really not a care in the word, except remembering which case you hid the present in. Have to say we're all kids at heart here at Meadfoot so we love Christmas even if it is a working day. But for you it simply a case of doing nothing but enjoying yourselves. Christmas Eve you'll enjoy a dinner in our award winning Brasserie. Christmas morning breakfast will beckon and then maybe a stroll by the sea to sharpen your appetite for our six course Christmas lunch. The evening will see you enjoying a light supper before a night cap and turning in. Needless to say if you're leaving us on Boxing Day our breakfast will set you up for wherever your travels may take you. If you're staying another day then come the evening you'll be enjoying the cuisine of Chef Callum and his team of kitchen elves.

Jewel of the English Riviera is offer a great base to discover the delights of South Devon and beyond. Within a 30 minute drive you can explore a different beach every day or head up onto the sweeping wilderness of Dartmoor. National Trust and English Heritage properties are all around and travel further afield and the Eden Project and Lands End are all doable in a day. more >>

"Just spent a fabulous couple of nights at the Meadfoot Bay... we’d just completed a 4 night stay at another hotel at double the price of the Meadfoot Bay and not had a good experience. We are regular visitors to The Ritz and their tasting menu is smaller, three times the price and cannot compare in any way to our experience at the Meadfoot Bay. This was our first visit and feel as though we have found a gem on the English Rivera, and will certainly return. Thank you for a wonderful stay."
