festive Break

December can be a funny month. The anticipation of Christmas itself just around the corner and the prospect of finishing (or horror of horrors) just starting the Christmas shopping. That's why we think what better time to take yourself away to the Bay. Maybe come as a group and settle in for one of those memorable evenings where the wine flows and stories are told. And then there's always the prospect of being fed by Chef Callum with a suitably festive menu. What's not to like?

about meadfoot

Located in a leafy conservation area just two minutes from blue flag Meadfoot beach and 15 minutes from Torquay marina, the Meadfoot Bay is a gracious Victorian villa built in 1850 and now home to a stylish, comfy, award winning boutique hotel. With a staff to guest ratio of almost 1 to 1 the emphasis is very much on providing the attention to detail and level of service you'd expect in a five star hotel, but with a personal touch. We believe it's the little things that make the difference and deliver them wherever we can. more>>

TORQUAY

With cafes, bars and restaurants clustered around the marina, Torquay does have a very Mediterranean feel to it and of course the ever present palm trees help! Jewel of the English Riviera is offer a great base to discover the delights of South Devon and beyond. Within a 30 minute drive you can explore a different beach every day or head up onto the sweeping wilderness of Dartmoor. National Trust and English Heritage properties are all around and travel further afield and the Eden Project and Lands End are all doable in a day. more >>

what guests say about the Bay

"This hotel may be small but it packs a big punch when it comes to hospitality. The attention to detail here it something you would expect from a much larger place and from the moment you arrive to a welcome drink to the time you leave with a goodie bag for your journey, you really feel that the staff want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible."
