Traditionally New Year's Eve dinner is when chef's really like to show off and Chef Callum is no exception. That's why he and his team are looking forward to the opportunity of treating you to seven courses of his very best. But that's during the course of your stay you'll also be able sample more gold award winning cuisine on our a la carte menu along with our renowned Meadfoot breakfast on every morning of your stay.

OK so let's get this straight from the outset. If you're looking for big bands and dancing until the wee small hours, seeing in the New Year at Meadfoot Bay won't be for you. However if the idea of a civilised evening, spent enjoying seven courses of award winning cuisine is more your style then we're singing from the same hymn sheet! Chef Callum loves this evening as it gives him the opportunity to surprise and delight diners even more. The menu itself it still a secret but he promises to reveal all very shortly. But in the meantime you can rest assured that fine dining will be at the heart of our celebrations. Breakfast the following day will continue the foodie fun and put you in the perfect frame of mind to enjoy the first day of 2022. Dinner that evening will doubtless do exactly the same thing as you enjoy the delights of our a la carte menu. Parting the following day (if you chosen to do so) will be sweet sorrow, but we'll be hoping that maybe 'auld acquaintances' might return to repeat the fun the following New Year!

With cafes, bars and restaurants clustered around the marina, Torquay does have a very Mediterranean feel to it and of course the ever present palm trees help! Jewel of the English Riviera is offer a great base to discover the delights of South Devon and beyond. Within a 30 minute drive you can explore a different beach every day or head up onto the sweeping wilderness of Dartmoor. National Trust and English Heritage properties are all around and travel further afield and the Eden Project and Lands End are all doable in a day. more >>

"Another amazing stay at "The Bay"
My wife and I and 11 close friends have just had a 4 night stay here. It's our second time as a group at "The Bay" that culminates with a day at Newton Abbot races. This hotel is spotlessly clean throughout and very well presented, and since our last stay a lot of refurbishment has also taken place. The food in the "Brasserie" is of outstanding quality, and a breakfast that sets you up for the day. But, one of the main attributes to this hotel are the staff. Without exception everyone of them are so polite, caring and cannot do enough for you it makes for such a pleasant stay."
