valentine's at the bay

What better way to spend this special weekend than passing the time at Meadfoot. With the day itself falling on a Monday we've decided to spread the love across the whole proceeding weekend. So our Valentine's package which comprises of a two night stay can be booked on any combination of nights from Friday through to Monday with our special tasting menu available on every night. So more than ample opportunity to get 'loved up'!

 two nights all inclusive

FROM £405 per couple

All you need is love is a sentiment we very much share with John, Paul, George and Ringo and sharing the love is very much the epitome of a stay at the Bay and none more so than at Valentine's. A warm welcome with complimentary drink and nibbles sets the mood. In your room meantime will lie chilling a bottle of prosecco and artisan chocolates from our award winning chocolatier Andrew King. Dinner is always special at Meadfoot and Chef Callum will no doubt be looking to beguile your taste buds with his Valentine's tasting menu which you can enjoy on either night of your stay. Feel free of course to book the brasserie for your other night if you wish, but don't leave it late! Breakfast of course is another must have, but perhaps on this occasion accompanied with a glass of Bucks Fizz? Needless to say breakfast on both mornings is included in the package. Of course you might light to make it long weekend and if you do please call us for details of prices for extra nights which we're sure you'll love too! We look forward to welcoming you.

We think it is in everyone's interest to be as transparent and flexible as possible when it comes to booking conditions. So at the Bay it is very simple. You can cancel your booking anytime up to 7 days before arrival with no penalty. Between 7 days and 48 hours of your arrival we offer two choices. First you can move your booking to an alternative date without penalty (though there may be adjustment either way depending on the prevailing room rate) or you can forfeit your deposit. Cancel within 48 hours of your arrival and you will be charged the full amount of your booking.  Lastly in the event of a government enforced lockdown you can move your booking to another date or have your deposit refunded in full.

about meadfoot

Located in a leafy conservation area just two minutes from blue flag Meadfoot beach and 15 minutes from Torquay marina, the Meadfoot Bay is a gracious Victorian villa built in 1850 and now home to a stylish, comfy, award winning boutique hotel. With a staff to guest ratio of almost 1 to 1 the emphasis is very much on providing the attention to detail and level of service you'd expect in a five star hotel, but with a personal touch. We believe it's the little things that make the difference and deliver them wherever we can. more>>

With cafes, bars and restaurants clustered around the marina, Torquay does have a very Mediterranean feel to it and of course the ever present palm trees help! Jewel of the English Riviera is offer a great base to discover the delights of South Devon and beyond. Within a 30 minute drive you can explore a different beach every day or head up onto the sweeping wilderness of Dartmoor. National Trust and English Heritage properties are all around and travel further afield and the Eden Project and Lands End are all doable in a day. more >>

what guests say about the Bay

"Another amazing stay at "The Bay"

My wife and I and 11 close friends have just had a 4 night stay here. It's our second time as a group at "The Bay" that culminates with a day at Newton Abbot races. This hotel is spotlessly clean throughout and very well presented, and since our last stay a lot of refurbishment has also taken place. The food in the "Brasserie" is of outstanding quality, and a breakfast that sets you up for the day. But, one of the main attributes to this hotel are the staff. Without exception everyone of them are so polite, caring and cannot do enough for you it makes for such a pleasant stay."
