IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS
While we may not be the grandest hotel on the bay, but that doesn't stop us from striving to deliver a five star level of service with an attention to detail that marks us apart. Here are just a couple of examples of how we try to make a stay at the Bay something extra special.
It's often an anti climax returning to an empty house with nothing in the cupboard. Well don't! Just take your pick from our take away menu and you'll have a delicious dish or two to enjoy to when you get home.
if you go down...
...to the woods, the beach or up on the moor and would like to dine al fresco, chef will be more than happy to prepare a Meadfoot hamper for you to enjoy wherever the mood takes you.
AWARD WINNING CUISINE
Here at Meadfoot the emphasis is very much on relaxed informality and that carries through into our restaurant, Brasserie at the Bay. In just over a year since opening its established itself not only as favourite with hotel guests, but equally with locals, something of a rare achievement for a hotel restaurant, and with judges too as we have already won two awards. Headed up by chef Callum Tasker, you'll find the menu is very much focussed on making the most of local produce, cooked with passion and delivered by a friendly team headed up by Lewis Hailstone (in other restaurants he'd be called our Maître d', but we're not big on titles here!).
22 miles of stunning coastline with beaches to match. Then of course there is Dartmoor, one of the most beautiful open spaces in the UK and those are just the tip of the iceberg. So please check out our Out and About section which is our guide to over 101 things to do. Read that and you'll wish you've booked a longer stay!
