"A Real Haven! After battling storms and floods to get there, the warmth of the welcome, the softness of the sofas and the gentle music in reception made it peace on earth."

GREAT FOOD UNFUSSED!
Here at Meadfoot the emphasis is very much on relaxed informality and that carries through into our restaurant, Brasserie at the Bay. In just over a year since opening its established itself not only as favourite with hotel guests, but equally with locals, something of a rare achievement for a hotel restaurant. Headed up by chef Callum Tasker, you'll find the menu is very much focussed on making the most of local produce, cooked with passion and delivered by a friendly team headed up by Lewis Hailstone (in other restaurants he'd be called our Maître d', but we're not big on titles here!). If you're planning on dining with us we do urge you to book ahead. Our capacity is reduced to accommodate the needs of social distancing so tables we anticipate will be at something of a premium.
When people think of Torquay they seldom realise what this truly unique location offers. First and foremost a stunning natural bay with Blue Flag beaches, one of course being virtually on our doorstep! For watersports and sailing fans there is an amazing variety on offer. If walking is your thing the South West Coastal Path is just a couple of minutes from our front door. Further afield of course is Dartmoor. One of the most beautiful open spaces in England. And then there is the history. Castles and stately homes are all around us, many with in stunning settings with equally stunning gardens. And of course it would be a crime not to mention possibly our most famous past resident, Agatha Christie. A visit to her holiday home Greenway is an absolute must for aficionados.
The question you need to ask yourself when visiting is not what will we do, but rather how long have we got!
